Our new authentic Italian café, Mileto Caffé, has opened in the main reception area of the Pears Building, next to the Royal Free Hospital, and we hope that many local people will find it an attractive addition to the cafes and restaurants of South End Green.
Mileto Caffé is run by Federica Federico who learned her trade in her family’s café in Rome, after which her new venture is named. Federica uses speciality coffee, sourced ethically from her network of suppliers around the world. She also serves a range of teas and has created a range of delicious Italian-themed food options to have in the café or take away.
Federica said:
“Since the age of 10 I have grown up in Rome smelling the aromas of the coffee shop, meeting new people every day and helping my family run their business. My love for coffee grew and so did my desire to explore new cities so I moved to London, which inspired me to start my own coffee brand, Faith in Coffee, a few years ago.
“After my family were sadly forced to close our Rome café in 2018, it has been a dream to start my own and now Mileto Caffé lives again, in the Pears Building.”
The café, which supports the work of the Royal Free Charity, is open from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 4pm at weekends. Everyone is welcome.
